Dr. Daniel H. Olsen is is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, USA, before working for 6 years in the Department of Geography at Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Olsen has published over 50 book chapters and journal articles related to the intersections between religion, spirituality, and tourism, which are his main areas of research inquiry. His edited books include Tourism, Religion and Spiritual Journeys (2006), Religious Pilgrimage Routes and Trails: Sustainable Development and Management (2018), Dark Tourism and Pilgrimage (2019).
